Andrés Cano is a bold leader who will stand up for working families and our public schools. A sixth-generation Arizonan, Andrés began his public service by signing up for a community organizing course at age 13. At 14, he got his first summer job, and by age 18, he was the president of the Young Democrats of Arizona. Since 2012, Andrés has served the district that raised him as a community liaison to Pima County Supervisor Richard Elías. In this role, Andrés has been on the front lines fighting for neighborhoods, ensuring our public health, and protecting our precious Sonoran Desert. He has served on the boards of Planned Parenthood Arizona, Literacy Connects, and the Legislative District 3 Democratic Committee. In 2018, Andrés–a first-generation college graduate–is ready to take our progressive values to the State Capitol. His priorities include opposing school vouchers and tax cuts for the wealthy, demanding health care for all, fighting private prisons, and saying no to the privatization of Arizona's public lands.

"Andrés has worked to advance equity, fairness, and opportunity for Southern Arizonans from all walks of life."–Juan from Tucson
