U.S. Senate Kentucky

Charles Booker is currently a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives and is running to defeat Mitch McConnell in November. He’s a lifelong Kentuckian and is standing for a set of bold, progressive policies to ensure that every American can live a life of dignity. He’s supportive of guaranteeing universal health care for all, massively overhauling the criminal justice system, and passing a Green New Deal. Booker made history in 2018 when he was first elected to the Kentucky State House: He became the youngest Black Kentucky state legislator in 90 years. In office, he’s been a champion of voting rights, gun law reform, and workers' rights. Booker has recently been active in the ongoing protests addressing the violence faced by Black communities at the hands of law enforcement.
