Since getting elected to Congress in 2016, Rep. Jayapal has been a voice for underserved and underrepresented communities rooted in years of experience as a community organizer to craft bold legislative policy for the benefit of all. She’s a co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus the largest group of members in the Democratic caucus and a conscience for keeping policy solutions rooted in taking care of all Americans, not just those advocated for by special interests. She has been one of our strongest allies in the Congress. Rep. Jayapal has made health care one of her highest priorities, sponsoring a Medicare-for-All bill that has gained massive support across the country and recently offering a paycheck guarantee act to make sure that workers displaced in the pandemic are able to survive extreme economic dislocation.
